Canvas FAQ: Why can’t my students see their Letter Grade in the Grades Area?

I thought I had everything set up correctly in my course, but students still report they can’t see their Letter Grades! Please help!

Instructions

  • Go to the Canvas Course Site

  • Select Settings from the Course Layout Menu

  • Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select More Options

  • Locate the “Hide Totals in Student Grades Summary” setting and Uncheck it.

 

  • Select the Update Course Details button from the bottom of the screen.

  • Students will now be able to see their grades as Letters in the Grades screen.
