Restoring Deleted Course Content in Canvas

Summary

Deleted course items can be restored by accessing the course site’s undelete page. Student submissions associated with restored content will also be restored.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the course in which you would like to undelete content.

  2. In your browser’s address bar, add /undelete to the end of the URL after the course number and press Enter. For example: https://boisestatecanvas.instructure.com/courses/1234/undelete.

  3. On the next page, among the list of recently deleted items, find the content you’d like to restore and click the restore button next to the item.

  4. The content will now be restored to its original location in the course. Any associated student submissions will also be restored in the grade book.

There are limitations to the undelete functionality; not all items can be restored.
