Pages Page

Summary

This article will describe the Pages page and how to use Pages.

Instructions

The Pages page either shows the front page or shows a list of the pages in the course. You can create and edit pages from here as well as define the front page.

Pages are much like traditional webpages. They are a great way to give instructions or provide guidance through a module.

Creating a Page

  1. Click the + Page button at the top right of the screen.
  2. You will be brought to the Page editor. Start by defining a page title in the box at the top.
  3. Begin creating your content:
    1. The text editor provides much the same toolset as Wordpress, if you're familiar with that editor. All of the common formatting options are listed at the top of the text box.
    2. You can edit the raw HTML of the page by clicking HTML Editor at the top of the editing window.
    3. If you want to embed a link or other media, look to the toolbar on the right. It has tabs for LinksFiles, and Images. Each one provides useful tools to make the process easier.
    4. You can set who is allowed to edit the page: Only teachersTeachers and students, or Everyone. This can be used to create a page that every student can edit and build content onto.
  4. Click Save or Save and Publish if you're ready for students to see your page.

Viewing All Course Pages

If you have defined a front page, the list of all pages will no longer show up immediately when you navigate to Pages. Instead, you must click the View All Pages button at the top left to see this list.
