Summary

Basics of using iClicker for polling and quizzing during class time

Instructions

Students must already have an iClicker app purchased and installed on their device (e.g. smartphone) or use in a browser on a laptop

  • Log in to the podium computer
  • Log in to iClicker Cloud software
  • Hover over the class and click on Start Class
  • Click Polling on the floating widget
  • Launch any PowerPoint or other course materials you are planning on presenting for polling or quizzing
  • Click on the Slide Show mode
  • Click on the chevron and choose question format type (Multiple choice is the default)
  • Click on the Start button (green button) to poll
  • Click on the Stop button (red button)
  • Advance to the next slide
  • Click on the chevron and choose question format type
  • Click on the Start button (green button) to poll
  • Click on the Stop button (red button)
  • Repeat bullets 10 - 13 for more polling questions
  • Click on the left arrow (next to the green button) back to the Class Toolbar
  • Click the red “X” to end the class
  • Click End Class with Exit poll to ask students to give post-class feedback
  • Click End Class to end your iClicker Course session
