Creating Closed Captions
Summary
This article describes how to edit, add, and import captions in the Panopto video editor interface. Any videos created after 7/27/21 will have Automatic Speech Recognition generated captions applied by default.
Instructions for importing and editing captions
In the Panopto web interface, enter the editor view for a video
Click Captions on the menu in the upper left of the page
To edit captions:
Click on captions to be edited and click Enter.
Optionally enter captions in text entry box.
To upload captions:
Click on Import captions and
Click on Upload or request captions
Click on Choose File and select your own caption file.
When chosen, click on Upload Captions.
