For Instructors - Adding Ouriginal Plagiarism Prevention to Canvas Assignments
This article explains the settings to check in order to apply Plagiarism Review to a Canvas Assignment.
Note: This setting must be applied to the Assignment before the student submits their work.
Instructions
Go to your Canvas course site.
Select Assignments in the Course Layout Menu.
Create and/or Edit the Assignment you wish to have Plagiarism Detection turned on for.
Assignment Settings:
In the Submission Type, select “Online” and check “File Uploads”
Ouriginal supports the following file formats:
doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .sxw, .ppt, .pptx, .pdf, .pdf 2.0, .txt, .rtf, .html, .htm, .wps, .odt, .odp, .ods, .tif, .tiff, .ps, .hwp, .zip and .pages
This will make the Plagiarism Review setting appear
Change the Plagiarism Review from “None” to “Ouriginal”
Choose the review settings:
At the bottom of the Assignment page select “Save and Publish” or “Save” to confirm the settings change.
